This is the view we had out of our hospital delivery room. Tiffany said it helped to have a nice view to enjoy while we were waiting for the pitocin to kick in.
On Wednesday, the day after Caleb was born, Scott picked up Brooke and Tyler from Jacki's house, where they had spent the night. Scott brought them to the hospital to meet Caleb. They were very excited. Tiffany had bought them ribbons to wear, and they told everyone they saw in the hospital about their new baby brother.
The kids picked out a balloon for Caleb and flowers for Tiffany in the hospital gift shop.
Brooke and Tyler each had a turn to hold Caleb.
We thought Tyler was really cute talking to Caleb in this video. Listen carefully for the knock-knock joke.
Tyler talking to Caleb (video)
After spending time with Caleb, Scott took Brooke and Tyler to the hospital cafeteria for dinner. They were much too excited to eat. Then Scott took them to the airport to pick up Grandma Sherrie and back to the hospital so Grandma could meet her newest grandson.
The kids also got to open their presents that Caleb "brought" them. They weren't surprised at all that Caleb knew Tyler would like a Lego set and Brooke would enjoy a doll dress-up game.
This picture was taken by our nurse right before we left the hospital.
Here we are in front of our house with Caleb. Grandma Sherrie tied a big blue bow on the front porch to welcome Caleb home.
Tyler-isms:
"He is way too cute to not look at."
Brooke-isms:
"Mommy, I love your baby."
